Lymphoedema
  • good support
  • breast & breast form totally contained in bra cup
  • varyform/graduated straps
  • deep side bands preferably without side supports
  • no wires
  • not too tight to cause redness & discomfort
  • You should always ensure the person fitting your bra is aware that you have had Lymph Nodes removed by surgery or damaged by radiotherapy treatment because they should fit a bra accordingly.
  • If the bra is fitted too tight, lymph fluid may build up as the remaining lymph glands are forced to work harder.
  • Flex or Comfort Wired bras may be worn to support larger breasted ladies, these bras should have no side stiffeners to put pressure on the lymph site surgery and the shoulder straps should be wide enough for support without causing indentations.
