Breast Reconstruction - The first three months:
Immediately after surgery and up to 3 months afterwards wear a good supportive non-wired, seamfree bra with supportive straps. This is essential at this stage as wires, seams and lace may cause scar irritation and may slow your healing process.
You need to be patient. We know that’s easier said than done so we do have a range of styles and designs to try and make the wait less trying!

Breast Reconstruction - After three months:
Three months after surgery you can wear a wider choice of bras. You may try a flexi-wired bra for short periods of time or for that “feel good factor.” There will be some loss of feeling around the surgery area so it is important to keep a careful regular eye on your fitting at this stage, ensuring there are no red marks or imprints from the bra. Comfort is everything at this point in your journey.
