Mastectomy

The Bra Clinic provides an appointment based service in comfortable and private surroundings for ladies who have had breast surgery.

Bras can be supplied with pockets if required, though it is not essential to have a pocket for the prosthesis although many women feel more secure with one.

Underwired bras are not advisd until surgery is fully healed,if you prefer to wear a wired bra then a bra with a flexi- wire is recommended, this is a softer flexible wire has been designed to be comfortable and compatable with the prothesis.

Due to loss of feeling around the surgery area it is important to observe the bra fit regularly, making sure there are no red marks or imprints from the bra.
