Fitting Guidelines

Remember, measuring is a guide not a guarantee, as all manufacturers have their own grading scales and fabrics used in bra manufacture have different amounts of stretch so it is unlikely that you will wear the same size in every bra style.

As a guide take one measurement in centimetres directly under the bust then use the chart below to convert your size into a UK bra size:

Under bust measurement in cms UK Bra size
63 – 67 30
68 – 72 32
73 – 77 34
78 – 82 36
83 – 87 38
88 – 92 40
93 – 97 42
98 – 102 44
103 – 107 46
108 – 112 48
113 – 117 50
118 – 122 52

Three tests to check that your bra fits correctly:

  • Stretch your arms up to ensure that your breast and breast form are secure contained within the bra cup, not protruding out from under the bra band
  • Bend over to ensure that your breast and breast form are again secure and contained within the bra cup, not spilling out of the top of the cup. The fabric should not lift away from the rib cage to reveal surgery.
  • Always sit down when trying on a bra as the rib cage expands when seated. Your bra should be as comfortable sitting down as standing up.
